Tesla cars can now diagnose a problem themselves and automatically order their own parts

YOUR car could soon diagnose a problem and automatically order a part itself while driving.

The latest update by Tesla even lets cars book you in for a service to get the issue repaired.

Tesla motors now have the ability to self-diagnose any issues under the bonnet and automatically pre-order replacement parts.

But if you think the repairs are unnecessary you can cancel the order.

The latest update was uncovered by a Model 3 owner this week, after a message stating "an unexpected condition has been detected" appeared on his screen.

Another message then appeared saying a replacement part had been ordered and pre-shipped to a local Tesla Service Centre.

Yep, our cars can keep tabs on certain components to let you know if they need replacing and order parts ahead of your next service visit.

And it didn't take long for Tesla to confirm the feature.

In a Twitter post, they said: "Yep, our cars can keep tabs on certain components to let you know if they need replacing and order parts ahead of your next service visit.

"Like skipping the doctor and going right to the pharmacy."

It's not the first time Tesla customers have been blown away by innovations.
