A GROUP of Catholic priests were barred from a Cardiff pub because the landlord thought they were on a stag do.
The seven priests were refused service by staff at The City Arms, who thought they were just rowdy pals in fancy dress, reports WalesOnline.
In fact, they were planning to toast Father Peter McClaren, who had just been ordained at the nearby St David's Cathedral.
The priests said: “On arrival, the bartender informed them that it was policy not to grant entry to fancy dress parties or stag ‘dos’.

A DOCTOR has found himself brutally slammed after making his client appear ''possessed'' thanks to an eye colour-changing surgery.
What if you could permanently change your eye colour without having to wear contact lenses?
Well, according to one French clinic, New Vision, that's possible thanks to a unique called keratopigmentation.
As explained by experts at Clinica Sancho, this is usually achieved by means of a laser, which makes a small incision in the eyeball to create a sheet in the corneal tissue, a sheet that's then filled with the pigments or dyes according to the patient's wishes.

A BARN find expert has discovered a Range Rover gold mine - including one 4x4 used by Ed Sheeran in his Castle on the Hill music video.
The owner of the collection, Rob Marsden, has 50 classic Range Rovers, and contacted the specialist explorer who travelled to Dover to see what could be one of the UK's best barn finds.

POLICE searching for a 32-year-old woman who vanished four weeks ago have found a body.
Lorraine Cox was last seen in Exeter city centre in the early hours of September 1.
A murder probe was launched a week later with Christopher Mayer, 22, charged with killing her.
Police have now confirmed Lorraine's body has been found in Exeter.
