Madonna sparks political storm in Lisbon after being given cheap council parking deal for her numero

MADONNA has sparked a political storm after getting a cheap council parking deal for her fleet of vehicles.

The singer, 59, can use land near her home in Lisbon, Portugal, for 15 cars for £636 a month.

But residents in the congested capital — where parking one vehicle for a month would cost around £57 — say mayor Fernando Medina is giving her special treatment.

The council denies it.

But there was further anger when officials confirmed the US star, whose son David, 11, is training to be a footballer in the city, will not have to pay anything until the end of the deal.
Joao Goncalves Pereira, of the CDS — People’s Party, said he was “left speechless by this extraordinary situation”.
