LG G6 smartphone promises phone addicts a massive screen that WON'T make your hand tired

LG have created a smartphone with a massive screen that promises to eliminate a very painful symptom of smartphone addiction.

The new LG G6 is targeting the Netflix-loving, stream savvy commuters who want to watch films on-the-go.

It comes with a massive 18:9 screen aspect ratio, a step up from the conventional 16:9, for a "cinematic" experience when playing games and streaming video.

But its latest offering - unveiled at tech conference Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week - is designed to fit comfortably in the hand to eliminate hand muscle fatigue, also known as gamer's thumb".

The smartphone maker said in a statement: "Even with the large screen featured on the G6, the smartphone is easy to hold.

"And unlike other phones with a similar screen size, the LG G6 fits comfortably in one hand, giving you a big screen experience without the inconvenience of a big phone.

"In fact, ergonomics research teams led by Dr. Andris Freivalds at Pennsylvania State University and Dr. Ji Yong-gu at Yonsei University tested the LG G6 for stability when holding the phone, comfort in various postures and actions, as well as muscle fatigue when using the smartphone for long periods."

It's achieved this using narrow bezels to set the larger screen in place.

Designers painstakingly rearranged the camera, sensor and speaker in a row on the front upper side.

The rounded corners of both the body and display also spread the impact if the phone is dropped.

The LG G6 has a 13 MP camera and runs on Android, which comes in black, platinum and white.

EE, Vodafone, Three and Carphone Warehouse will stock the phone once it is launched on the UK market, but the RRP has yet to be announced.
