A MUM has shared her chilling tale of being haunted – by a cat.
One woman shared her bizarre tale on Twitter, entitled ‘a ghost story for Halloween’.
The woman, called Periwinkle Jones, said: “2015: Moved house. Saw a 'ghost cat' sitting on stairs. Didn't tell husband.
“2016: Husband told me about the 'cat' he kept seeing on the stairs.
“2018: Our baby's first word was 'cat'.
“She says it as she points to a nothing, sitting on the stairs…”
The haunting, seemingly lasting at least three years, didn’t just affect the family.
The woman added: “We've had a builder see the 'ghost cat' too.
“Our ghost cat used to appear when we got out catnip for the other cats.
“We stopped seeing it when the baby was born, but apparently, he is still here.”
Trying to explain the apparition, she said it looked like: “Like a reflection of a cat, if that makes sense?
“It walks away or does something and sort of vanishes.”
Her story prompted others to share their accounts of the paranormal.
One person replied: “I worked in a nursing home in which the elderly residents often complained they had not been able to sleep b/c of all the children running up and down.
“One night carers saw children in Victorian costume dancing in a circle.
“Site had prev been orphanage.”
