A “VIGILANTE” motorist posed as a traffic cop and put blue lights on his car to stop speeding drivers, a court heard. Martin Goodall, 51, has been found guilty of impersonating a police officer following a series of bogus traffic stops in his home town. The wannabe police officer dressed in dark combat trousers, a dark top with badges on and hung a police-themed lanyard around his neck. He fixed a blue strobe light to the dashboard of his white Vauxhall van and drove around the streets of Poole, Dorset, looking for motorists breaking the law. [Read More]

Jockey Nick Scholfield in hospital after horror Cheltenham fall

JOCKEY Nick Scholfield left Cheltenham racecourse in an ambulance after a nasty fall at the last. The top jockey, who came fourth in last Saturday's Grand National on 33-1 shot Santini, came down in the 4.25 race aboard Last Royal and was later taken to hospital. COPS are probing the death of a woman after her body was found in the street. The woman in her 30s was found on a Birmingham street as the sun rose this morning. Emergency services raced to Dudley Street, but tragically the woman couldn't be saved. West Midlands Police are now probing her death, which they say is being treated as "unexplained". Harlow car crash: Man in his 20s killed and second fighting for his life after car plunges into rive

A MAN in his twenties has been killed and a second is fighting for his life after a car plunged into a river. The horror accident happened just after 10pm last night near Harlow in Essex.
